Easy egg recipes for kids

Over the time kids get bored with usual boiled egg and omelette recipe. We can try out some delicious recipes while making sure the nutrition value is intact. The below recipes can be tried for toddlers as well as preschoolers.
  • #1. Whole wheat egg cake
            It is a healthy treat for our kids. Its really simple to prepare with all the ingredients readily available. 
  • Ingredients:
  1. 1 1/2 cups curd 
  2. 2/3 cup olive oil
  3. 1 1/4 cup sugar powdered
  4. 1 1/4 cup sugar powdered
  5. 3 eggs
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla/sttawberry essence
  7. 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour/all purpose flour
  8. 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  9. 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • Method:
  • Preheat your oven to 230 degrees F. Grease the baking tray with some oil.
  • Take a big bowl, mix all the ingredients one by one. Let your kid do the stirring. Kids find it real fun. 
  • Pour the batter in baking tray and let it bake for 20 to 25 mins. The cake comes out real soft and fluffy. Its definitely delicious and healthy treat for the kids.
 
  • #2. Cheese omlette
          This is traditional omelette recipe with some cheese and veggies.
  • Ingredients:
  1. 1-2 eggs
  2. ½ Onion chopped
  3. ½ Tomato chopped
  4. Coriander chopped
  5. Pinch of Oregano
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Cheese-grated- as per taste
  • Method:
  • Add all the ingredients in a bowl, give it a nice stir.
  • Heat some oil in pan and spread the mixture. Cook both sides till golden brown.
  • Serve it with whole wheat/multigrain toast.
  • Try to involve your child in cooking process. My daughter loves to break the eggs and adding ingredients one by one and then stirring it. If you involve them in cooking, they realise the effort which goes in cooking and will never say no to it.
